Stereographics Project - Black Out by Britney Spears
Project based on sterographics which involves using physical materials like paper, leaves etc to create artworks.

"Black Out" is an interpretation of Britney Spear's album. The music's genre revolves around electropop and uptempo music, couple with Britney sensuous image in the MVs, I created this vinyl album cover design.

I used primary black as a core color as electropop musics are commonly found in clubs or dance floors which are dark. Using experimental folding to create the diamond structures, I played around with different lightings to create bring out the different shades of black and highlight the geometry of the diamonds. Why black diamonds? I felt that it has this very alluring and mysterious feel to it. Besides diamonds are girl's best friend. What better way to get to a girl then diamonds?

Often in the clubs one can barely see each other. Only when the spot lights randomly dance across the floor reveal that brief moment of clarity will you see others around you. Then its the shadows again. It is both mysterious and sensuous at the same time. Thus I chose to draw the silhouette of a sensuous lady and have some cut out to create shadows in the rear, giving it more depth.

The electric blue and pink are common in electropop music genre as their colors are vibrant and electrifying.
